Lesson Outcomes
Conduct a Hypothesis Test for the difference of two proportions \(p_1 - p_2\):
- State the null and alternative hypothesis.
- Show the appropriate numerical and graphical summaries that support the hypothesis test.
- Check the requirements for the hypothesis test.
- Calculate the test-statistic and \(p\)-value of the hypothesis test.
- Assess the statistical significance by comparing the \(p\)-value to the significance level, \(\alpha\).
- Draw a correct conclusion for the hypothesis test.
Calculate and interpret a Confidence Interval for the difference of two proportions \(p_1 - p_2\):
- Show the appropriate numerical and graphical summaries that support the confidence interval.
- Check the requirements of the confidence interval.
- Calculate the confidence interval for a given level of confidence.
- Identify the point estimate and margin of error for the confidence interval.
- Interpret the confidence interval for a given level of confidence.
